Seba Johnson is a Black identified cisgender woman born in the US Virgin Islands, growing up in a public housing project. She is a Howard University graduate, accomplished after becoming the first Black female to ever ski in the Olympics. She is dedicated to educating all kinds–young and old, veg and non-veg, inside the United States and abroad–about health, LGBT, animal/human welfare issues, and other social justice concerns that may keep folks from realizing their full potential.
Seba will be speaking to her experience as a black vegan woman in the animal rights movement, in the Olympics, LGBTQ advocacy and as an educator (in a variety of social and geographic contexts). These “non-negotiables” have presented challenges, to say the least, in these environments that have not historically been open and accepting to someone like Seba.
